Information We Collect

When you register as a player at PCI, we collect the following personal information:

• Identity: Full name.
• Contact: Phone number and WhatsApp number.
• Location: District and state of residence.
• Playing Role: Your registered playing role (Batsman, Bowler, or All-Rounder).

Additionally, when you book a match day slot we collect your UPI Transaction ID for payment verification. When you set up your Rewards account, you create a self-set 4-digit Rewards PIN to securely access your points balance.

How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information you provide solely for the following purposes:

• To register you as a PCI player and generate your unique Player ID.
• To manage match day slots, group assignments, and scheduling.
• To maintain career rankings based on your match performance.
• To track and process Rewards Points earned through match participation.
• To communicate with you via WhatsApp regarding match confirmations, updates, and result announcements.
• To prevent fraudulent or duplicate registrations.
• To publish your name, Player ID, and match statistics on PCI platforms — subject to your media consent.

Media & Content

By registering for PCI and ticking the media consent box in the registration form, you grant Play Cricket India the right to use your name, PCI Player ID, playing role, performance statistics, and match footage across all PCI-operated platforms, including:

• YouTube (@Play_Cricket_India)
• Instagram (playcricketindia.official)
• Facebook (Play Cricket India)
• X / Twitter (@PlayCricketInd)
• The PCI website

This media use is without additional compensation. If you wish to request the removal of specific content featuring you, please contact us in writing at contact@playcricketindia.com within 48 hours of publication.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

• Database Storage: Registration data is stored in a secure database accessible only to authorised PCI administrators.
• PCI Partner Stores: When you redeem Rewards Points, the store owner sees only your name and PCI Player ID. Your contact details are never shared with partner stores.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a lawful order from a government authority.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you remain a registered PCI player and for a reasonable period thereafter. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it from our active records within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain it longer.

Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to player registration data is restricted to authorised PCI administrators only. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information held by PCI:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your data. Note that this may affect your ability to participate in PCI events and will result in loss of your Player ID, career ranking, and Rewards Points balance.
• Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your media consent at any time by contacting us in writing. Withdrawal applies only to future use.

Children & Minors

PCI is open to players of all ages. Players under the age of 18 are required to bring a signed Parental Consent Form on their first match day before participating. The form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals without a parent or guardian's knowledge where required. If we become aware that such data has been collected inadvertently, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the PCI platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify active registered players via WhatsApp. Continued participation in PCI events after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
